How DREAM was formed
DREAM was formed in October 2004 by Brenda Taylor who lives in Yeadon, North West Leeds. After a hospital admission and returning home she was experiencing social isolation and the lack of opportunities for disabled people aged 18 - 65 to meet in her area. Having concluded that there must be other people in the same situation, DREAM was formed with initial support from VA-L and L.I.P.
DREAM caters for people with any disability aged between 18 - 65, who live in North West Leeds, as there is a shortfall of social care provision for this age range. Carers and volunteers are welcome to attend. The group is user led.
